Who was it that said, "A little madness in the spring is wholesome even for a king?" Doesn't matter. My point being, here is a little bit of lunacy that only Hong Kong can bring. Capped the month of May by going to the
2010 Art Fair.

All above photos are of
The Peninsula Hong Kong. She may be an aging lady, but she still is regal. And yes,
Spring Moon does serve up good vegetarian dishes. My particular favorite is their vegetable rice as it had pumpkin and pine nuts.

Hong Kong by day.

Had to put in this photo as these are the most darling, even delectable girls that I saw. They had quite an attitude too, didn't back off as I shot them.

More Hong Kong by day.

Above shots are upon entering the fair at the
Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
And this is why we go to art shows.
Bill Viola. Everytime I passed by his work, I HAD to stop and watch it again, and again, and again.

Again, another reason why we go to BIG art fairs.
Yayoi Kusama. Enough said.

Blue and whites, redux.

Cloisonne or is it Champleve?

The above scupltures were the most riveting for me. So sorry to forget the artist, but she (I think) makes an outstanding conversation between what is natural, and what we see as real, and what we manipulate our environment and technology to be. Crazy but like
Viola, I couldn't stop looking.

Oh, just a
Warhol.

Oh, just a
Richard Prince.

Damien Hirst pieces, wala lang.

Just because I'm really liking color these days.

Another work I found arresting. This was video projection upon a sculpture.

Of course,
Andreas Gursky, idol.

And oh, the most adorable dimsum. Probably the only way I'll eat meat these days.

The Bay, of course.

A friend suggested I start a shoe blog. My response was that none of my shoes carry "brands," of course that wasn't his point. My shoes do tell a story. Taking his advice, here is what I wore on the
Aqua Luna. A seriously enjoyable day, so much so that I napped for the most part. Realized that I don't get sea sick, instead, I get sleepy. Probably the most touristy activity we did.

And there's
Carlos, vanity photographing.
